Who We Are

We are the Foreign-Trade Zone #9 is the ninth foreign-trade zone project approved in the United States. The Hawaii Foreign-Trade Zone #9 is administered by the Foreign-Trade Zone Division of the State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism. The State of Hawaii is the grantee of Foreign-Trade Zone #9 and operator at the Pier 2, Honolulu Harbor facility.

Our mission is to increase the amount of international trading activity in Hawaii, thereby providing employment opportunities for the people of Hawaii.
